1 Day-tour Hike Mount Kilimanjaro

This one-day tour of Mount Kilimanjaro is good for tourists who have a short amount of time in Tanzania but would still like to squeeze in some hiking. This is a best tour for private or joining a group and it does not extra fitness to reach the Mandara Hut it is also good for Budgeted travelers.

This tour from Arusha at 6:00am or from Moshi at 07:30am. The Guide from African Safari and Tours Safaris will pick you from the Hotel or Airport and drive you direct to the Marangu Gate the starting point of Mount Kilimanjaro. After signing in at the park office at 9:00am – 09:30am, you will participate in a short brief orientation about the hike before departing. You will hike three to four hours to the first hut (Mandara) and arrive in the afternoon. You will have picnic or lunch box here and enjoy great view of the Moshi district below. After lunch you will go on a short walk to the Maundi crater and then begin your 2-3hours journey back to the Marangu gate, keeping an eye out for anything you might have missed on the way up. The car will be waiting for you at Marangu Gate to take you back wether to Arusha, Moshi or direct to the Airport.

What to expect on a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro<

From your accommodation in Arusha, depart with your guide after an early breakfast for the drive to Marangu Gate, Kilimanjaro National Park. Depending on the location of your hotel in Arusha, the drive will take 1, 30 hours to 2,30 hours.

What should I wear for 1 day Mount Kilimanjaro trek?

All that you need for this trek is comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and a raincoat in case it rains on your way up or coming down. One advantage of this Mount Kilimanjaro day trip is that you will not be required to have any special mountain climbing gear.
