5 Day Chimpanzee Tanzania Tracking Tours – Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kigoma.

Fly from Dar es Salaam airports to Kigoma to start 5 Days Chimpanzee Tracking. Arrive Kigoma airport met and transferred to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mahale Chimpanzee Safari.

The first day of 5 Day Chimpanzee Tour. Breakfast at the hotel then depart to Mahale National Park by motorized boat the journey of 3- 5 hours depending with the weather; visit the Mahale Park Information Center at park headquarters. Lunch at the rest house then in the afternoon embark into Mahale chimpanzee Safari in the forest.

Day 3: Mahale Chimpanzee Safari.

After breakfast in the camp depart for a chimpanzee tracking in the forest, returning to the camp for lunch. After lunch game viewing by boat on the lake (birds, hippos etc).

Day 4: Game viewing and fishing.

After breakfast start with game viewing / chimpanzee tracking in the forest followed by lunch at the camp. The afternoon will be spent fishing by boat on the lake (2 to 3 hours).

Day 5: Return to Kigoma.

Early breakfast at the camp then depart for Kigoma by motorized boat. Lunch and transfer to the airport for the return to Dar es Salaam or Arusha. this is the end of 5-Days Chimpanzee Tour Tanzania.
